Creative ESOL is a pioneering programme for newly arrived young migrants and refugees to develop their English language skills, confidence and integration through drama and the arts. Rewrite have developed this innovative approach since 2008 and now have an established model of practice (featured in the British Council publication Innovations in English language teaching for migrants and refugees). Sessions are delivered by a qualified ESOL teacher and experienced drama practitioner. Projects are currently taking place for EAL students in primary and secondary schools in Southwark, Lambeth and Islington
