Established in 2001, React is a youth theatre made up of young people aged 12 to 18 from different cultural and national backgrounds. The group work together on drama projects and performances that explore the social, political and cultural issues that they feel are important. Young people are encouraged to create work which challenges prejudice and injustice and perform for new audiences. The project also acts as a progression route for young migrants and refugees who graduate from the Creative ESOL programme.

“I think it is very important for young people to have a platform like React where they can express themselves, grow as individuals and experience the power drama can have in changing the mindsets of their audience”
