Creative ESOL started in February 2007 as a pilot project, and was so successful that we have secured funding for the autumn term.
Creative ESOL is an innovative programme of work whereby young people with English as a Second or Other Language learn to speak and understand English by taking part in Creative Activities such as drama and dance. The classes are taught by an ESOL tutor and a drama/arts facilitator, and are for young people of secondary school age 11-16. Young people can be referred through their school EAL co-ordinator or they or their parents can approach Rewrite directly. Any enquiries should be made to the co-ordinator for Creative ESOL, Emma Hewitt.
If you would like to find out more about our ESOL classes, please download the cREate ESOL enquiry form (PDF) and send it back to us. We look forward to hearing from you!
